My PC is now very slow at starting up having upgraded to Livebox and I wondered if anyone could help.
Installing the Livebox has meant that this is the first time I've had to use This is the first time I've had to use the LAN connection on the my DELL desktop machine and its always been previously very reliable. Now
its dreadful and I'm beginning to wish I'd not upgraded. When the Orange page eventually loads (used to be instant before Livebox), the download
speeds appear very quick with a reported 6 to 6.5MB speeds so it appears more a PC problem that installing Livebox has introduced. Is there something simple I could do to rectify this or is there something i've missed during set up perhaps?
Please keep in mind when replying that I'm far from a computer expert and therefore simply a user, so will need a "Janet & John" very simple style response please.
It's worth checking what is loading on start up :-
Click on Start > Click on Run > type msconfig then press enter, then click on the tab that says 'Start-Up' and untick any programmes you don't want to load on start up.
