I "think" iv'e been put onto LLU about 1.5 months ago, and since then i get constant disconnections, generally in the evening 7pm to early hours of the morning, OR No internet connection at all.
What to do? I'm not even bothering to ring them because i already know the answer. Have you checked your modem is plugged in, is it on? blah blah blah crap. Oh we will conduct a line test for no reason for you. blah blah
So, what now? I'm only 16 and have a generally good knowledge of modems/routers and the internet, so technical words can be used
I can't move at the moment as dad won't let me, (He doesnt use computers so he doesn't understand my pain) I would pay myself but you must be 18 for BeThere and generally most other ISP's i'm guessing.
Hmm my router IP is 10.0.0.2 if you wanted to know.
And speedtest
And i get that speed, but at the cost of constant disconnections, looking at every few minutes sometimes even seconds.
In the mornings i generally can get right up to 8 meg, with no disconnections normally. So i don't know but it's just t night generally. Starting at about 9.30pm in the week, and 7.30 at the weekends.

anything out of the blue? apart from the speed... should be 8 =[
SNR of 11db should be fine. Don't understand that Max TX Power of -38dbm. If this is the output from the router then this would explain errors and other problems being experienced. Would expct his to be a postive figure assuming it is router O/P power.
you need a higher SNR for better stability, so I guess it's a matter of getting the balance right
The number of CRC errors for an 11 day period may support my theory though
I think you're right. I recently had a problem, low SNR, disconnections, variable speeds.
I disconnected all wires except 2 and 5 in the main BT box and ext. box. SNR is now a steady 11 and CRCs are very low, I've not had any disconnections and speed is steady.

Does anyone know what the other wires were supposed to do? I read about this elsewhere (dslzone I think), and the website just said the other wires weren't needed
