I have recently installed a 8 Meg Wireless Livebox, I can connect to it wirelessly OK all the time. I have had the connection running for two and a half weeks now. My problem is the Livebox keeps losing the internet connection, but only at certain times - every evening the connection is lost but every morning when I check before I leave for the office the connection is restored. I have tried powering down and back up again and factory resetting the livebox to no avail. When Disconnected the @ light flashes alternately slow and fast, and when you look at the connection on the live box it say alternately " Synchronisation in Progress" or "PPP in Progress".
I was connected for the first weekend and every morning I could connect if I had time!
My phone line was a bit crackly so I had BT come out to sort my line out prior to getting connected, so I think that rules that out.
The fact I can connect at times when the Net is not busy but not when it is makes me very suspicious, or am I being too cynical.
Any advice or tips would be appreciated guys, as I have just signed up for 18 months!
First step is just to make sure you have everything connected up ok. Broadband cable connected right next to the power (not the socket with the white line), everything connected to the line is filtered. If that all looks ok disconnect everything but the broadband and see if there's any difference and after that try at the main phone socket. Use the test socket by unscrewing the lower half of the face plate and plugging in behind it if possible.
