I have successfully used my laptop (XP) for over a year to connect wirelessly to my livebox, with no security set.
I am now trying to connect my desktop (Vista) wirelessly as well, using a Netgear WG111T wireless USB adaptor. This works ok, except that I have to put the livebox into pairing mode EVERY time I start the desktop up to get the connection.
What do I need to change in order to let the netgear adaptor connect without having to activate pairing mode?

We have the same problem - but in reverse. After several lengthy calls to Orange, the livebox settings were changed to allow our Vista machine to automatically connect to our network but now our XP machine which has operated wirelessly without problem for a year won't stay connected. We have to go into pairing mode everytime we want to to online with that machine. Both machines are Dell with integrated wireless cards.
Orange refused to believe we were having this problem without it being a fault in the computer but we know it's not - it was OK before. They also refused to escalate the issue when we asked them to.
Can anyone out there help??
