Hi, I have an Orange livebox and use it for a pc, laptop and ps3. It's frustrating me a lot as for a while now Ive kept losing connection. It comes on as normal at first and then if Im playing a game online on my ps3 the connection goes down about 30 mins after turning it on, then it keeps doing this about every 30 minutes so when playing online i get kicked off and it says ive lost connection. At this point ive also lost connection to my pc and laptop if they are on and all the lights are flashing on the livebox as though it is resetting. After about 30 secs i have a connection again but i need a contstant connection or i cant play games online.
Does anyone know how to resolve this connection please? Thanks for your help in advance.
Specifically what do the lights do? Which ones flash and do they do any particular sequence?
They flash the same way as though you have just turned it on the "@" flashes for about 20 secs then settles and the wireless flashes then settles then I'm back on the internet. It's asthough it resets itself. Reading on other threads someone says it could be a problem with the filters so I think I'm going to try and connect it directly to the phone with one filter as apposed to connecting it to an extension. Do you think this might help? Any help would be much appreciated.
I'm new to this site but i have the same problem. I have had a long and not informative chat with our Orange customer service friends about it. They changed the power plug twice and then told me i had to use the cables supplied and be plugged directly into the master socket. This meant i either had to move the box downstairs and rewire electric socket or move the master upstairs. I chose the later and it seemed to work. However i am having similar problems again. Its not as regular as every half an hour but when it starts its happens alot and i just don't use it. i may not use it for a couple of days and you dont notice it happening so it could happen every day. I have not had the heart to ring them up again yet so i would be interested if anyone had some sort of theory on how to fix it.
Hope this helps in some way I share your pain.
Same problem I had, worked out that either the power supply was faulty or the livebox itself was up the spout. Luckily for me a new power supply sorted it out. When I rang them I insisted that the livebox was switching itself off as if the plug had been pulled otherwise they would have wanted to conduct numerous line tests etc.
