This here is the board that the Orange Broadband team use to instruct customers in how to fix their connectivity problems.
The number of posts on the lack of connectivity and the number of times Orange send the USB kit etc to do a router reset is silly - not to mention the 0870 calls to speak to somebody who is reading from these screens!
This link is somewhere in the middle of their resolution flow but should help.
Before you try it (or the dreaded "Orange Ethernet Repair" programme, try this:
1)unplug all leads from the Livebox;
2) leave it unplugged from mains for 30 secs.
3) holding the "1" button on the back of the Livebox, re-insert the power cable;
4) keep holding the button for 30 secs (the light sequence then changes) - you have now reset the router to the factory settings);
5) Now reconnect the grey broadband lead into the socket next to the power socket and wait about 30 secs for the @ light to flash once a second (on older models, it stays on solid);
6) Now connect the red patch lead (ethernet lead) into the Livebox and then into the computer;
7) run the Orange set-up CD and pretend like you are starting a new wired connection. Your problem should be solved.

The help pages are more a guide than a script to read and nowhere on it does it mention that if there's a problem with a livebox connection to send out the USB modem to fix it.

Standard factory reset process is to hold the button until the centre 3 lights light up, once they are then you can release, usually happens within 4-6 seconds.

All livebox models should act the same, if the @ light goes solid then it shows the inital steps to factory reset it were either unsuccessful or done incorrectly.

No need to run the CD, especially if it's already installed it just makes slightly easier but not really quicker. The better and quicker option, as the CD will only give basic information if there's a problem, is to do the following:
1) Open internet explorer and enter the address 192.168.1.1
2) Click the link on that page.
3) Enter the username and password as "admin" to access the livebox.
4) Go into the Services > Internet section.
5) Enter your broadband username and password into the boxes and click validate. The @ light should go steady and the page return saying connected, if not give it a minute or two and click the refresh link at the bottom of the page and see what the status says.
I would like some feedback on whether this has worked as it did for me and a number of other people who I have given this guide to.
There is another verison of the USB recovery for the newer CD's as a few minor points differ there. Generally the USB recovery works a lot more than the ethernet recovery does.
