Hi ... I've just joined this site and wonder if anyone can help/explain my problem.
At various times over the last week to 10 days, mainly after 8pm or anytime over weekends, I've been having problems connecting to web sites. For example, I go to the BBC News site and it loads OK as do pages from it, then say 15 mins later I can't get a connection to the site at all. Similarly, when I try other sites the either won't load, then a few minutes later will or vice versa. I don't think my broadband connection is dropping out as I can try one web site and it won't load, but a few seconds later when I try another it loads easily.
I've a 1MB connection via a BT Voyager 2100 router, so don't use my 'Livebox'.
Any help would be appreciated.
instead of letting Orange allocate their own. I used to find I could only reach google and nothing else around the 9pm mark and thought it was my connection failing
In a way I was disappointed this cured it, because I suppose I could use the lack of service to be a breach of contract, but it would probably get put down to contention (which the ISPA may agreee with).
I wonder if Orange's DNS servers are behind an LLU connection somewhere
