Just to maybe help those of the affected in Westminster, I finally had a CALL from Orange Tech (complaining to the ISPA really is the only way to go...and followup with Customer service...)
After the usual do what I have done so many times before, he went through to BT and discovered that my line can only take 6.5 meg not the 8 that it has been set to by Orange. Therefore a downgrade has been ordered with BT (5 days......makes 7 weeks....)
Oh I just give up. After line was meant to be downgraded the tech somehow didnt get the request posted. That was 5 days wasted. Now they tell me its another 10 days.....Clearly if I had knowne at the start it was going to be this long I would have moved ISP. So now I have to wait until next Thursday. This is just so incompetent its leaving me really speechless. Any suggestions if I should sit tight ? Or jump ship with my MAC code ?

Our line was supposed to be downgraded about Three weeks ago - had to jump through hoops to speak to Specialist Provision at Customer Service (what a misnomer, eh!) - couple of days later I got a helpful message left saying that "the upgrade to your line is now completed, please call technical support" That was when I finally lost it and told lady in call centre in India that I would not do any more resetting, restoring etc., etc. Have now told Orange I just want out - they are complete rubbish!
