<Livebox Issues? ~ Livebox odd problem while using vista and xp dual boot

Hello everybody just found the forum and thought I'd sign up as I have an unusual prob...
Livebox has been working fine on my wireless laptop and fine on my main pc using ethernet (red socket).
However since I Installed vista on that same comp (2 hard drives I alternate between the two depending on what I'm doing) things have gone a bit strange.
When I plug the vista hard drive in, there is no prob full internet access. When I plug the XP HD back in for example if I want to game, I have limited or no connectivity and can't connect to the net. However this is the wierd part if I plug the vista HD back in load up vista, shut down plug the xp HD back in load up I get full connection and no problems.
This is not a coincidence and anytime I wish to use internet on xp I must do the following:
1) Plug in and load up XP encountering the prob
2) unplug xp plug in Vista load up and as usual have no prob and connect to the net
3) Unplug vista plug xp back in load up and the problems get solved
Ok so I know that sounds wierd and I have a hard time explaining it so probably didn't come over too clear if you need clarification on anything please ask.

Ok I just completely reformatted the computer and I still have the problem.
It has got to be something to do with the livebox now surely?
What am I to do?

Edit: I just plugged the livbox in through ethernet into my laptop and my laptop could connect fine... (lol yes I unplugged the wifi thing from the side of the laptop)
