I'm in my bedroom, quite away away from our Livebox. Before, I could get a decent wireless signal through it for my Wii and Windows PC, until yesterday, when it suddenly dropped off. I cannot see the Livebox from my PC or the Wii.
I'm going to test with a laptop near the Livebox, but does anyone know if there is any cause for this problem or if it just the sh*tty Livebox?
Have you checked the obvious like
checking wireless hasn't turned itself off on livebox. If you can, run a wire from the red LAN port on the livebox to the LAN port on the back of your lappy (this is usually the one with a horizontal line with a square above and two below it) - and not the telephone socket. browse to 192.168.1.1, and check your wireless settings are on
checking the key on your laptop is correct
checking you haven't accidentally turned wireless off on your laptop
on the wireless icon in your computer's systray, right click and do repair. what does the status of this say in the dialogue box
