As has been mentioned in your other posts with attenuation of 63 you are not going to get much better whoever you are with That is a long line, read what kitz has to say.
you can also get a rough idea what you would get on adsl max but its only a rough idea and remember you are on the Orange llu so you can knock a bit off for a start.

your line length is the problem I am in no way sticking up for Orange. "
For once i shall agree with techie.. my approx line length is 2km away from exchange and it says on the kits site that if i were to use adsl2+ i could get atleast a 1.5mb dload speed.. along a 2mb connection..
Worth looking into?
Or should i just abandon the idea of broadband altogether...
All im after is a provider where i can get atleast 1mb...
Ya see im a computer musician and i do a lot of uploading to the internet and dloading.. thts why i got bb in the first place...
I'll call Orange again and see if i can get out.. but if all else fails ill get onto the ispa..
You may find that even if be are in your exchange they might be reluctant to take you on due to your line length. my attenuation is 24 that gives me 1.4 km away I think yours is a lot further than that.I would suggest trying an isp with max adsl on one month contracts and see what you get.
After much persuading to Be Broadband they have confirmed that i can migrate to their company from Orange...
Should be an improvement from an 60kbps connection on Orange
Just waiting for Orange to do the so called "diagnostic" on the line,
then hopefully i should get my MAC
2km away from exchange so if im lucky i should get over 2mb on Be
Many thanks to all the people on this site, uv kept my mind at ease
2 fingers to u Orange.. you've taken me to hell and back

I would email Eric Abensur with any problems where your are getting no joy through the call centres.
I was offline for 6 weeks with no end in sight being fobbed off with the usual excuses. I then emailed the Eric Abensur with a diary of my experience, head of Orange BB and result in 2 days, released with no penalties to go elsewhere.
