I have had limited access on Orange for the last couple of weeks and basically could only get google, and thankfully, this site. Sifting through the posts has been so helpful, and a bit of a godsend. Orange are useless, they must be aware of this issue yet technical are no help, indecipherable and expensive.
Anyway the problem seems to be with mtu settings, with the cure being to download DRTCP, trouble is I can't get on a site to download this, grrr.
A reply to a post from June though suggests this - Click on 'my computer' and then control panel. Click network, highlight the dial up adaptor. Look at properties. click on the advance tab then IP packet size. Set it to small from automatic. Restart.
This seems to fix the issue for me and for those that can't get DRTCP or don't want to fiddle with the registry, I thought it worth a fresh post.
You could try manually using the OpenDNS servers
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
instead of letting your system automatically assign them. I was finding google would load, but nothing else.
