My Orange MAC Code starts with LYMY is this ok? Im 100% Sure im not on LLU. If someome could just tell me if this is correct. Becuase if its not ive got some shouting to do.
Now this is what im worried about.
It start off
LYMY but then goes
LYMY1234567/AA89A
That is a example of what my MAC code looks like. Its only 16 characters. Do you think i should get Orange back on the phone. As there normally 17 is that correct? Or is mine correct? Im very confused.
Towards the end of 2006, the ownership of MAC keys will come under BT Openreach's remit and have a new format:
<"L" 10 alphanumeric>/<5 alphanumeric> eg LBST1234567/DC22J.

Thanks, i got worried when i was reading Wikipedia. Must have got a new type of MAC. Thanks for all your help switching tomorrow. Been at work all day.
