Basically Orange are an excuse for an ISP so advicse you to leave them ASAP.
SO many people, including myself, left Orange and post back on here with great speeds and stable connections.
Toxiceggy the EXACT same problem is happening to me, Does it start disconnecting like every few mins, even seconds sometimes? until like 3am is as long as ive stayed up at the moment to see.
Happening to me too, sometimes before 9, about 8pmish, give or take, but the error is invalid adsl authentication, but after about half an hour or so its back... its really annoying now its been doing it pretty much all this week
yes i have the same problem, my internet disconnects after 10 on the night. the green modem icon at the bottom right turns Orange for about a minute and then i can reconnect almost instantly...its just annoying!
Well, 1) Orange Internet is an excuse and add-on to thier mobile company as a second or backup revenue if you like, They don't know how to run a broadband company espcially thier LLU service which is likely your problem.
Saying this, I'm in way of altering my BT phone sockets as it might NOT be Orange's fault. The "Ring" and other wires in your BT phone sockets are not need and cause uneeded and unwanted noise or whatever its called in your phone line causing us constant disconnections when traffic is high on the Orange network.
I've had this also now twice in the last week that I've noticed. I tend to reboot the router (changing between PPPoA/PPPoE and/or @fs/bb4) connection works so I can open google, then 2 mns later it dies. Perhaps I should lover my blood pressure and just leave the router alone. My MAC code is valid for about another 7 days. I'm really tempted to use this now despite being in contract
23:35 Edit: I've just cursed myself. Connection gone down again, so using the Orange anytime dialup they gave me to use instead
Ive been using the opendns servers for the past 3 or so months, so its not that, its the adsl authentication error, usually works again after bout 20 mins.
Also im gonna try sticking my livebox in the main socket, i just need to get a 10m ethernet cable to run it upstairs
