Hi, I'm on an Orange 2MB connection at the moment and unfortunately can't get Be*. Anyone tried Madasafish? I'm just after a faster, cheaper BB connection and it seems like ADSL Max is not all we're led to believe in the advertising... funny that. Madasafish seems to have good reviews.
Anyway, here's the criteria - I use my own wireless Modem router, will accept a contract but no longer than 12 months. Must be cheaper than Orange (17.99), but I would actually be willing to pay 17.99 if the service was good enough to warrant it. Stable, fast, 8MB for real and none of this "up to 8MB" nonsense. Can anyone actually GUARANTEE you 8 MB?

no one can do that i,m afraid, it depends on certain things, no one will ever get the full 8mb anyway, unless they next door to exchange...(on 8mb package)
just heard that BT have bought madasfish so who knows things may improve slighlty, but then again it depends on ur circumstances , best bet is to try master socket for best speeds,when and if you switch rather than using extension leads,
try a broadband comparison site, it will give you the best options and will show prices etc and speed packages , some are more expensive than others, remember cheapest isnt always the best option for top speeds,

Im afraid you get what u pay for if ur not prepared to pay a slightly bit more for a smaller ISP and 1 month contracts sticking with the big cheaper companys you will be in the same boat and locked in a long contract, thats why the biguns have long contracts their support is awful and once ur in it they will not let u out of it, frankly if they had 1 month contracts they wouldnt have half the customers they have now,
