i had the live box sent to me over a year ago when Orange took over wanadoo, tried to connect it but couldnt get it to work so just went back to the speedtouch wired moden wanadoo had originaly supplied.
Ive just bought a laptop with wifi which I would like to use around the house. can I keep the same modem on my pc (upstairs) and put the live box downstairs connected to that phone socket?
i tried plugging it in before and connecting the laptop with the ethernet lead but all i got was "connected" but local network only,,,what does that mean? also,,when i came back upstairs and tried to connect to the net on my pc, it wouldnt until i unplugged the livebox from the phone socket downstairs,,,im lost!!!!!!
No you can't connect and sign on more than 1 device to what is effectively the same BT Line
FWIW, I couldn't get my wanadoo box to connect either when tech support insisting on knowing the status of the lights on my livebox. I forget the sequence, but it's something like @ light flashing rapidly, followed by @ light blinking, repeating, then that keeps the script readers happy it's a problem connecting
