You will now be able to get free technical support over the phone on the second Tuesday of every month.
The TechGuys, part of Dixons Store Group (DSG), will offer a free service for one day each month in a series of trials which aims to help you solve your tricky IT-related dilemmas.
"We're a nation that tends to favour self-help if there isn't an obvious solution available to us," said David Bugg, director at TechGuys.
The first trial of the service will begin tomorrow, and demand is expected to be high.
"We've set the times to coincide with rush hour to maximise convenience and we've laid on extra emergency support to cope with anticipated demand,” said Bugg.
There will also be a trial of a walk-in clinic tomorrow in London, in the PC World on Tottenham Court Road.

I'd be a little concerned as to what costs could be racked up with that 0870 number.

If its anything to do with PC World I'd be a bit wary. Friend of mine took his PC in for a health check and got it back following day decidely sicker. They wiped all his email addresses and much more. It was also running much slower. It must have been suffering a hangover!!!!
