Hi
After having been with Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange and currently on a 1 meg service I decided to upgrade to the '8 meg service' last night.
I have just stumbled across your site and am now most concerned about my decision.
Can anybody please advise on the question that I am not sure I am asking.
I am located in High Wycombe and I did not see that exchange mentioned.
Thanks in advance :

I wasn't, I got upgraded into LLU and 8meg, and wasn't informed of any of it. I had to find out myself through the "orange members can't get in centre".
Hi
Yes it does look as if the high Wycombe exchange is not Orange LLUed.
I also spoke to a very helpful young lady at the Rotherham call centre who told me I was currently on BT IP STREAM Max.
This information persuaded me to proceed and I duly had my Livebox delivered.I tried very quickly last night to set it up but unfortunately did not have a lot of joy and ended up reverting to my good old speedtouch USB modem.(the stingray)
I also phoned to find out why my speed had not yet increased (knowing that i can only get 2.5Meg and was told there was a fault on the line (overseas call centre).
I then phoned the number that I had found on a post on here,0845 070 2976 (uk based)and spoke to a helful chap who said he would look into it and phone me back.He did and told me that he was trying to get hold of the provisioning team to find out what was happening.
One thing i do find odd is that if there is a problem with a request for a service 'improvement' (upgrade) and it is found that for whatever reason it cannot be performed ,nobody bothers to let you know.
One final point ,as part of the confirmation of the upgrade request the e-mail states
"ONCE ALL THE CHANGES ARE COMPLETE YOUR CONTRACT WILL BE RENEWED FOR 18 MONTHS"
I think this means that until you have the upgrade speed that they have said your line will support is achieved then you can cancel.
