On Tuesday I couldn't connect to Orange and got the 'Error 737: Loopback detected' message everytime I tried. Phoned Orange who talked me through resetting Speedtouch modem, master phone socket, one PC etc. Still no joy so I was told to leave my PC connected and on for 3-5 hours while they did line check and they would phone me! They didn't so I phoned them again Wednesday and we went through same rigmarole again and I was told to leave it 24 hours then to call again. So on Thursday afternoon I checked to see if I could log onto Internet and hey presto it worked!! Slow and some sites wouldn't load but I could check my email. I have a friend using TalkTalk who has had a similar problem. Can anyone shed any light on why this happens.
