i need help ,i have tried everything to get my dads Orange modem to work .can i change it for a adsl router.and do i need to keep the modem connected at the same time.the modem says no dial tone ,i have changed the phone line and the filters and it still dont work .
Providing you use a standard ADSL modem / router then any should work. It doesn't need to be connected up all the time but turning it on and off a lot can adversly effect ADSL Max connection speeds.
