It typically takes 3-5 working days to receive a MAC code from Orange, so they are within their own timeframe; just. I got mine emailed to me and it took 3 working days. Good luck!
i requested MAC code on 28th July and i still havent received it what should i do next
How did you make the request?
Has to be by phone or letter for Orange. They will not normally accept an email request. If you phoned then they must provide MAC within 5 working days. If requested by letter then 5 working days from when they received your letter. Best to send any letter by recorded delivery.

If you don't recieve it within the 5 days fill in an online complaints form with the ISPA Here i'm sure they are familiar with this about Orange by now.

@Ciderfex I just did that , now i am really upset, they didnt process it surprize surprize so i got to wait another 5 days plus i got to pay the remainder of my contract which i was signed up for another year they didnt tell me about. that was when i first asked for MAC code but they tricked me into staying by offering a reduced fee...I feel like i have been conned

Hi suzi then you can dispute that with them if i was you i would fill a ISPA complaint form in link above explaining what has happened and not telling you about a new contract, they are desperate to stop people leaving in droves hence the free laptop offer.
When i asked for my MAC from them they wasn't compulsary then it took me 3 weeks to get one out of them and i only got that after reporting them to the ISPA, now its the law to give one when requested within the 5 days its their stalling tactics is how they get around it.

If they have admitted that they didn't process it, phone back and demand the MAC immediately over the phone, it takes no time at all for them to generate it.
I asked them to send to me either the recorded phone conversation where I asked for a new contract,or to send me a photo copy of my signature where I have actually signed for a new contract, they could do neither. They had gotten me on a new contract after I asked them to get me off the crap up to 8mb service and back to my reliable 2mb.they never told me this was a new contract, any way I did not have to pay them.Remeber that when you first ever join Orange you are doing that by choice no company can decide you are on a new 12 month contract without your permission.I think its now high time that the government or someone got involved and stop their thieving practices trickery and con tricks because that is all they are. They can fine BA for conning the public so why not Orange too.

hi suzi, i had similar issues with them, and rang on 6.. yes 6 different occasions for my MAC, on my final attempt i was told there was a problem at my exchange that meant i couldnt have a MAC *what a load of croc!* and that i would recieve a phonecall within 2weeks, *two sodding weeks!* to tell me when i would be able to get a MAC code... i should've just cancelled my account, gone on holiday, and waited till the tag came off the phoneline!
so i contacted the ISPA, and recieved my MAC by post two days later, and 1 free month of broadband so i didnt have to pay for another months subscription while i'm waiting for my migration to PlusNet!
