Can anyone help? Unable to log onto braodband using my speedtouch connection yesterday. 2 calls to India later - no help whatsoever!! Was getting error 0721. Now can only log on if I create a new connection evertime I log on and if i try to log on using old connections I get error 0691 - which says invalid password and username. Any way round having to create a new connection everytime.
I have been sent a livebox but have not set it up yet as I know there will be problems and yet more phone calls to India!!
That usually comes about by one of two possible causes as the system shouldn't be able to tell if you've remade the connection.
1. Some sort of spyware or virus that is modifying the connection. This is often because those sorts of programs see it as a dialup connection and try to subvert it to their own uses.
2. There's some sort of corruption or error in the system meaning the details of the connection get altered somehow.
First I'd download and run a couple of spyware checkers and a full system anti-virus scan. See if they pickup anything.
