I have used my outlook express with my freeserve email for years now, but today I started having problems..
It appears that I cannot download emails with attachments from Orange. I get the message header and title, but the main body of the text and any attachemtns are missing together.
When I view the emails on the Orange webmail they are all there with attachments. I got the activation link for this site into my OE fine, as there was no attachment.
I also have my hotmail into OE and have no similar problems... any ideas anyone?
If you have changed nothing on OE, I suggest that you just hang on for a few hours as the internet is extremely sluggish today, possibly due to issues arising from the recent bad weather.
I am experiencing this as a PlusNet user so this is not specifically an Orange issue.
One major difference between Orange and PlusNet is that the PlusNet status page actually gives details of any known problems which saves many hours of chasing around trying to solve issues over which you have no control.
Do resist the urge to play around with settings, re-install software and all of the other 'try this and try that' stuff usually suggested by the Orange help-desk when they don't actually know the cause of the problem.
