HI
Thanks for getting me sorted wirelessly before.
I have found 2 other wireless networks in range - on conflicting channels!

My main PC has 2 accounts - 1 for me (admin) and 1 for my wife (not admin)

When i log in as my wife, i cannot get access to he internet or email thru outlook.
The network is connected- so it says, but neither Firefox nor IE will open a web page - they say "could not find etc".
When i log back in as me, it works fine.

I have changed my wifes access level to admin - no luck.

Any ideas?

Setup:
Livebox with Speedtouch USB wireless
Zonealarm personal
Avast Home AV.
Win XP SP2

No. If i open the windows wireless dialogue, it says "you are using another programme to manage this connection" or similar.

Anyone have any ideas - other than divorce? Surprised

BTW this forum loses its formating in Firefox.

try uninstalling the speedtouch software and gettign windows to manage things itself

that's what I did with my belkin adaptor to solve user account issues

with my Belkin adaptor if you right click the icon in the task bar it gives you the option of switching it over to let Windows manage the connection even though you still have 2 wireless icons in the task bar, i.e. a Belkin one (blue when connected) and a Windows one. I haven't found a way to stop the Belkin utility auto loading at start-up. Any ideas as it's not listed in my Start>All Programs>Startup menu.

You should probably upgrade - there are some security holes in the older versions

Nor me. I always use the latest version of Firefox but just in case I do experience bad pages I have the IE Tab extension installed. Works a treat.

I did have one funny the other day where a username was overlaying the "join date" on the left hand side, but it's not a regular occurrence

I get the occasional CSS 'funny' using Opera for Windows but it doesn't affect the functionality.
