Absolute rubbish I'm afraid.
I had a rapid flashing @ light and I demanded a line test on July 4th and I'm still not connected. They even downgraded my line speed from 4 to 1 meg.....cheeky b@stards.

....which is sometimes done as part of a line test, fault diagnostics and fixes. While it may not have helped it is part of the process to correct that sort of problem.

Thanks, and I could put up with a line downgrade if it fixed my connection problem but it hasn't. Any ideas as to what they can try next? It's been 2 weeks now and I'm getting a little fed up with the BB support desk keep saying it will be fixed in 24 hours, 48 hours, 3 working days, 5 working days etc etc etc. It wouldn't be so bad if they said it will take 4-6 weeks to fix instead of them keep fobbing me off with their false promises.
Other fixes and stuff is done behind the scenes so I don't know specifically what they are. All timeframes are for possible fixes or updates which they shouldn't guarantee as there's no way of being sure it will be fixed unless there's a very specific note on the system with further details. That usually comes from where they have to do physical work at the exchange or on the line itself which can't be done immediately and has to be arranged. Again no guarantee but it's more likely to fix a problem when they specifically identify something like that.
