Hi all!
This is driving me crazy. Every now and again, my livebox internet connection... just... drops out. (Wired connection btw).
I'll be browsing, then the next minute the pages won't load and on Vista, in the corner the 2 computers will just show a ! instead of a little planet.
It can still connect to the livebox (supposidly as it says in the N&S Center) but not the internet.
How to solve this? Usually... a nice whack on the front of the livebox brings back the internet! Other times, a reset is required.
Now, it is not a faulty livebox, as this has just been replaced (as I had this problem before). It is not a faulty ethernet cable, as this has just been replaced.
All sockets have filters on (though this has remained the same for many years).
Any ideas whatsoever to which what is causing this annoying problem! It has only started happening in the past week or so.
If the filter and RJ11(telephone) cable hasn't been replaced (for those several years), as it is going to be net connection to the Livebox as the main issue rather than computer connection to Livebox. Apart from that, could be intermitent issues on the line or such a scenario of heat(?) to the Livebox if not well ventilated.
The same problem started for me about a month ago. I was wired connected and now wireless BUT still lose connection every 15 minutes. The livebox re-connects itself in about a minute. The @ light will flash when I lose connection and stop flashing when working again. I have replaced the filter and RJ11 cable. STILL no good.
