There are quite a few isp's out there that do 1 month contracts.You might get a free modem when you sign up to a 12 month contract but the modem isn't really free is it ? You can by an internal modem for a tenner anyway !!
This link will show you the isp ratings .Most people only think there are a few isp's like Orange,BT ,aol , tiscali and a few others.You will see from this link that there are alot more.
The isp i am with now is second to the top on the ratings www.adsl24.co.uk .My broadband costs £19.99 a month no different to any other isp for the same speeds.Best of all it's a 1 month contract .
It is up to 8mb ,has a 30gb download limit (peak),which is alot anyway.But it also has a 300gb limit aswel off peak (of peak is 22.00 - 08.00 weekdays ,22.00 fri - 08.00 monday).So you get all weekend at off peak.
