We are on Orange 8 Mb broadband since this new year. Out of the blue they disconnected the service without any warning and customer/technical support staff did not make any progress on explaining what is going on and how much longer it is going to take. Every time we get a promise to resolve the issue within 24 hours. They keep saying that for over 3 WEEKS now. We are not sure if they actually capable of providing the service they promised. The funny thing is that we cannot legally get rid of them as the broadband is a part of mobile phone contract for 18 months and we can change ISP but not the mobile network. Why would we need to sign that contract without the broadband offer!
I've been disconnected since 31st July - a problem they have variously told me is restricted to me, to 60 other people and to 100 other people. Apparently this does not make it a 'major problem'. We keep being told engineers will call and have phoned them EVERY DAY - they never do, of course. A supervisor also said that several calls we made were never logged and promises of engineers 'were lies' as engineers are not available 'at this time'. Also they won't respond to complaints because 'we don't do that'. For the full happy story, my blog's at http://paedantry.blogspot.com.
