Hi.
Orange are my ISP and since they have taken over from Wanadoo I have experienced loss of connection to the Internet. I was previous using a BT Voyager Wireless Router. BT have checked the line and confirmed the line is OK. Orange would not support anything untill I replaced the Router. I have now connected the Router using a wired connection but I am unable to browse to the 192.168.1.1 address to set the Router up. I spent several hours onto Orange helpdesk carrying out various tests and Router re-sets. They eventually condemed the Lan card drivers.
I was not convinced so connected another laptop with a different Ethernet cable and was still unable to browse to the 192.168.1.1 address.
After phoning Orange helpdesk again. They advised they are sending out a Router power cable. I explained to them "how can this be when I have also tried to connect using a BT Voyager Router"
Only the wireless red light. Lights up on the Router.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any help on fixing it would be greatly appreciated
i had a slightly similar response from the (very expensive) call i made to tech help - they eventually after trying for 45 mins to get my connection to recognise the IP address, told me that i had to replace my LAN card which was strange as it was working perfectly well before i tried to connect to Orange - i refused to accept this and so just turned my laptop off and on again after the call and hey presto! it connected - they seem to go through a process and ultimately if they cant find the solution within this process they tell you that your equipement is at fault - easy option for them i guess but very frustrating for us grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Im still seething from their lack of support and contact and my lack of a reliable wireless and phone connection!!
