Hi there.
Done everything it's said on the website, spoken to 'customer support' etc 4 times already, done line tests, nothing.
Problem is, we can see the livebox and connect to it with both ethernet and wireless, no worries, but we're still not able to actually get any sites up, play games, nothing. We're guessing it's a problem between the livebox and the actual internet connection. Still getting a slow @ sign flashing.
Tried changing filters and cables, also tried using our old belkin router, still the same problem.
Any thought/help/warnings on what this could be? Been trying for a week now!
Hello,
This may sound silly BUT...............
The exact thing happened to a friend of mine (oh ok it was me....)
Several phone calls baffling people and many pounds wasted until i had a terrble realisation.
I shut the PC down, went in to my lounge and connected the ADSL filter to my Sky Television phone connection which i had forgotten to do.
Rebooted PC and Ta Da.......Internet
I dont know whwether your problem can be fixed this easily but let me know if it is, as i would take great consolation in the fact that it aint just me who does stupid things.....

Does the livebox say that it is connected? (My services/internet/internet connection state/status) but that "you are currently: not connected to the internet" ? This might mean that your livebox has synced to the exchange server but that you have not entered your log-on name and password correctly. Check them against the letter you received from Orange and make sure they are EXACTLY the same.

Thats one of two possible problems, invalid username and/or password or PPP server down.
Open 192.168.1.1 in internet explorer, if the status is showing anything other than PPP server down click the link, username and password for the popup are both "admin", go into My Services > Internet and check your username and password, make sure they're correct including the "@fs" on the end. Click Validate and see what happens with the status and @ light.
Providing it was put through ok then the faults team should have called you, unless they couldn't get in touch or something. You're probably going to need to call them and see what's going on.

Orange dont do callbacks, i have bene offline for a month now and have been told on 4 occasions that i would receive a call back.......not once has anyone from Orange called me.
Orange do not call you back, they are useless, move to a new provider while your still inside your cancelation period.

Well all connected now, there was a fault on the line, they had two teams working on it 'round the clock' to fix it.
It took them 5 days, no call back, just suddenly the lights stopped spazzing.
If I were paying for the connection, I'd change providers now, but as it's not down to me, i have to persuade the housemate to change, it's been 6 weeks now and today is the first day i've been able to log onto my own freeking network.
Bah, now my connection is down, my sister can connect just fine, but mine cant, even wth the correct WEP key. I can connect to the other network in the house though.

Hi
I'm having the same problem as the original poster!
except that I can't get to the admin page... configuration bit.
I've managed twice to enter admin etc... but then nothing... most of the time I don't get anything! I've posted yesterday a better description (livebox &&**^^)
I have a Belkin Hi-Speed Mode Wireless G USB Adapter. which seems to do better than the ethernet cable but disconnects every minute. the Livebox just doesn't register the cable at all even if my taskbar says it's connected.
I'm coming to the end of my tether!
I just txt my flatmate to see if her Sky is connected through the phone line and she says it's not so I have no idea now!
Well since posting my last reply, i can connect occasionally, but more often than not, the acual line is down!! I cant even log into WoW for 5 mins using next doors connection though! (Dont worry, they've given us the nod to do this)
This service is a damn disgrace!! I unfortunatley can do nothing about this as the account's in my sisters name and she doesnt seem to have as many connectiion issues that i do when the lin's actually up.
