I have recently contacted Orange to cancel my broadband as I am changing over to a cable provider. Luckily I have never had any cause to complain about Orange but I am getting a bit nervous now. I phoned them on 12th May to cancel the account and was told it was all ok and it would take 30 days (which I expected). I was told my account would cease on 12th June and I would get confirmation of this in the post. I have so far had no letter and have had a bill for the month of June - is this right as I am only having the service up until the 12th?
I emailed customer servies and they told me I had to phone up, so I replied saying that I don't see why I should have to pay for another phone call and that I want it sorted out by email. I am worried the account has not been cancelled and, if it has, they are charging me extra money I don't owe.
Does anyone think I have cause for concern and what should I do next?
