By reading the messages on this site, im REGRETABLY a new member of Orange's broadband conglomerate!
Signed up a month or so ago, only for my application to be rejected by BT, not that Orange cared to mention this at all. Finally sorted the BT issue out and signed up again. Got sent the stupidly big live (s**t*) box, and set the thing up, a few teething issues later (ethernet port not working) finally got the thing up and running, only to be greeted with a very very very slow speed, 50% slower than the tiscalli dial up i'd used for the last few months on a 56k modem.
called tech support,(tues 12th June 2007) who did the usual cookies, temp files intro, to then be told that they are expanding networks and to ring back in 4 days time, i havent rung them yet as im giving them the benefit of the doubt, plus ive read that i should leave the live box on for upto ten days for the profiles to set (whatever that means).
It took me 20 mins to complete the registration for this site, and i class myself as lucky if i can get a website up in the first 5 refreshes. MSN doesnt connect at all.
As im still in the 30 days, and its the mrs mobile contract, i thought id give this site a try for any suggestions first off before i get rid of Orange, but as im only coughing up £5 per month for this, i still expect it to work. my exchange says i should get a 3mb speed comfortably and i cannot get a speedtest site to load up for me to check details, im suprised that this loaded at all!.
appologies for the speil but any suggestions, hints or tips would be more than welcome.
