I am altering the layout of the hallway in our house,which means having to move the Livebox further away from the electric plug point,now the lead from the Livebox will not reach the plug point. I rang Orange to see if it is possible to buy a longer lead which they do not have,they suggested using a trailing lead but to make sure it had surge protection. I seem to recollect seeing it some ware that the Livebox needed to be plugged directly into the wall socket.Can anyone offer advice. In other words anyone using the Livebox with a extension lead?.
Using the Livebox with an extension lead to supply the power wont cause any problems. You may only get problems when using a telephone point extension. The socket on the wall that you currently use doesnt have any surge protection, so why spend more money on an extension lead, than necessary.
