OK I have livebox downstairs hooked up to the ADSL (only phone socket in house) and it sends a great signal to the second floor where the office is.
Now I have an old Apple airport base station and I have been trying to configure it to relay the wireless signal so i can hook up my main machine via LAN (it's not Wi-Fi enabled).
Not much success so far - wondering if anybody else has either managed it or knows for a fact that it's not possible.
So really you're wanting to use the airport base station as a very large, and I bet fairly expensive in comparison, wireless adapter.
Does it even have the ability to scan and connect to another wireless device in that way? It's the oposite way around to how I presume it normally would work.
