About two Three weeks ago my phone line went dead and I had no internet. I checked with BT who said there was no problem then my phone started working ok. Since then my internet has been working but very slow. I called Orange, after sitting on hold for about 15 minutes i was passed through two different departments where I had to explain my situation over and over again to be told that there is nothing they can do to help as I have a MAC and they don't support MAC. So I left it for two weeks. I tried again on Friday this time I could opt for "technical support for MAC" (?!) They went through the checks with my Livebox, phone line etc and there was no problem. So they said to do a speed test but my internet is slow bad I can't even do a speed test. So they said they would test the line and that someone would contact me in 24 hours with the result. No one called so I tried again yesterday. They said that they have been authorised to not do any speed tests as there is a problem with the network and that the engineers are aware of it and will get it fixed when they can. Why didn't they tell me this in the first place? Also I am not to ring if the problem persists for the next week or so because they are working on it. I am tied into a contract for about another year. They suggested I use dial up but this costs money.
