just wondering i have the Orange live box and i am wanting to be able to send faxes through my talk line with the box using windows fax cant seem to set this up as its asking for the modem but i dont want to use my external one is there any way of doing this oand if so do i have to use a differant type of software instead of windows fax

Broadband modems and routers do not send faxes as such.

Simple solution is use MSFax built into operating system - you may have to install first.

You then need a dial up modem (as used on old 56k dial up accounts) connected to phone line.

Not sure the phone line on Livebox will send faxes - anyone got it to work? - so you could well have to connect to BT line through filter.

May not be as simple as it sounds.

I asked Orange this question and got the following response

"Currently you cannot setup a fax machine to the livebox ."

The audio encoding and decoding probably interfere's with fax or data signals making them full of too much noise after going through.
