This has to be the worst Internet Company on this planet.
There call centre staff are a bunch of Monkeys who wouldn't even know how to work a computer let alone offer advice about the internet!!!!
I totally understand how all these other people that have commented on their service feel - customer services blaming technical support, having to redial premium numbers god knows how many times, not offering any advice, not taking responsibility, moving house and not getting reconnected & even calling a call centre in India - the list is absolutely endless and its all happened to me too.
I think the highlight has to be one of them advising me I can connect to their service without a BT phone line installed!!!!! Errr is this not what they advertise - BT line required!!!!
I was with AOL dial-up for years before I switched over, but I thought AOL broadband was a bit too expensive compared to the rest of the market. However choosing Wanadoo was the worst decision I have ever made, and I so wish I stayed with AOL. Even though they are more expensive, you get what you pay for.
When I joined at the beginning of January it took until February to connect. Then at the beginning of April I had to move to a new address and to this day I STILL have no connection. So out of what should have been 5 months use I have had 2.
Unfortunately I sill have a six month sentence left with them & of course they have threatened me with legal action if I cancel my direct debit.
What I can’t understand is how such a well-established company such as Wanadoo (soon to become Orange) can get it so wrong. The fact that there is a website dedicated to Wanadoo complaints should tell them something is wrong. You only have too look trough other peoples comments and you see the same problems arising again & again.
Before discovering your site I wrote a 3-page letter to them, of course I’m not expecting any sort of reply. It’s a comforting though that I’m not the only one who has been caught in Wanadoo’s trap. However the question still remains “why join Wanadoo & how do they keep their reputation in tact?”
I joined up with Freeserve. Never had any major problems except when the ADSL went off. Phoned them up and they said their server had crashed and they were in the process of repairing it. 5 Hours later I'm back online.
Since Wanadoo took over the line has gone dead quite a few times and their livebox refuses to sync with their servers so I'm still using the Speedtouch Moden I bought from Freeserve.
