Finally received my MAC code the other day, however when tried to use it on any number of ISPs i was told there was "third party equipment" on the line and I would need Orange to remove this before I could change ISP. I called up Orange, and they tell me I have to cancel my account (the anger when I was told this would take 30 days...)...I've been without any internet service for almost two months now. Can anyone explain to me what's happened? (if you've had a similar experiemce)...and will closing my account fix the problem?
I cancelled my account and it only took a week- I asked Orange to clear the line. They told me the line would be clear by May 10th and it was. Once the line is clear you can sign up with someone else but it might cost you a bit more than transferring with a MAC code. However, I am now signed up with Fast. Hope this helps.
