A few months ago I was digging around the Orange website, and I managed to get a free upgrade to a 5.5mbs plan, and I was good speeds! (I presume i'm on a restricted LLU (Kettering Exchange)
Now I am getting abysmal speeds, and have been for a month or so now, with speedtest giving me 60Kbs Max (now hitting highs of 20Kbs). It's so bad i'm having to use my neighbours wireless internet shadily.
I've monitored my network traffic and nothing seems out of place on the PCs (no bittorrents seeding etc..) And i'm all spyware free, being on a MAC.
Orange are taking the absolute p**s I had no problems whatsoever from Dialup on freeserve and broadband on Wanadoo up till now.
My father on 8mb internet on the same exchange is having equally low speeds.

I'm not on LLU (Hedingham exchange), but my download speed is still fluctuating between a high of about 5600kbps right down to (5 minutes ago) 36kbps. At off-peak hours the speed is okay, but, right now (a wet and miserable Sunday afternoon when everyone's playing games on the 'Net, I presume) I'd be no worse off on dialup!
