Obviously if someone calls your Orange voip no. they will be charged at the 0845 rate of their service provider, but if you change the Orange voip no. to an 01 no. will they be charged at the normal rate BT etc ???
"Yes - as well as being able to make low-cost calls, you'll receive another phone number so people can also call you (this will be a local rate call). It's just like having a second phone line. You'll also get voicemail so you'll never miss a call."
"All Wireless & Talk customers have a choice about their Wireless & Talk area code number. This means if you wish to change your Talk telephone number you can do this by going into our Member Centre."

You're not restricted by which area code you choose, ie if you live in London and want to choose an area code for Manchester, you can.

Go into Member Centre and Your Account and Manage Talk Settings
There are only a few codes you can change to and there is 020 for London
I don't know what rate you get charged at to call a Orange voip no. from a BT landline or a mobile no.
Calls will be charged at standard geographic rates, so if you get free calls to 01- and 02- numbers at eve/weekends or whatever, then calls to a non-0845 W&T no would be free. Personally I can't see the point of having the 0845 code - many people refuse to call these numbers now.
"Recieving call on livebox is free. But if you would like to know the cost
the dialer is paying he needs to contact their service provide to find
out the cost to dial to livebox like in this case BT will inform you
their tariff."
"Currently you cannot setup a fax machine to the livebox ."
Well for once Orange actually come up with a useful service and it actually worked as they said it would. I just turned my W&T 0845 number into a local London number. Just waited 15 mins after picking it on the Orange site, turned off Livebox for 10 mins, turned it on again and now I'm virutally in London (even though I'm really in Yorkshire).
I suppose I'm unusual in the sense I've had no technical problems with my Livebox; just the usual confused information from Orange CS when I signed up. So I suppose other people's mileage may vary.
