Well, I've been having the problem for the up most of 1month and Orange help desk seem to be no help, they seem to repeat themselves and apparently there servers/equipment has been down.
The thing is : it will randomly disconnect it will say 'Synchronization in process' and ' PPP in progress' and such. - This seems to happen randomly there has been no key signs and reasons for this - I've tried it from different adapters/phone socket/filters etc, and we've still been having the same problem. - Also sometimes the connections will go slow.
PLUS : Also sometimes it will all kind-of turn off and just one light will show on the livebox "<<<" and all connections will be lost it it.
Could anyone shed any possible light on this situation?

Also : I'm form sheffield, Using the woodhouse interchange i think.
This is what has been happening to me. The Livebox would disconnect and then the >> would be a solid light before going through its reboot start up. This happens every half an hour to 2 hours. (Sunday I had 36 disconnections)
After 3 months Orange decided it was a faulty power supply. They sent me a new one. (they told me to send the other one back or else they would charge me ! )
This didn't rectify the problem so they are sending me a new livebox as they say it is at fault and they are aware that this has happened before.
the technical help at Livebox/wireless (not an indian call centre thank the lord) assured me that i would have no problem when the livebox comes......
.... I await. Until then I use the old USB modem that Freeserve (How I miss them ! ) gave me
It ramdomly disconnects every once in a while (sometimes every other minute)
and the ADSL light flashes for abit then gores back to solid an i can get back on. The best i got out of oranges e mail helpdesk was 1) CHECK THE MODEM IS CONNECTED PROPERLY.
I think they've taken on too much myself to care about the internet side of things. That's the way they seem to me. I'm glad I'm in my last month with them.
I've been with Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange since the early days and to give them their dues I've had no problems with them until 6 weeks ago, since then nothing but dropped lines (as many as 14 per hour) and variable speed - verging on non-existent at times.
What happened 6 weeks ago - transferred to LLU.
If you read all the other posts on here related to Orange and LLU you will understand why I came to the conclusion that the only way to resolve the issue was to leave, and yes, I'm going !!

yep, about a week ago i started getting all these random disconnections, i use a normally very reliable and fairly new ZyXEL router, and have barely any kind of firewall solutions or anti-virus that could be causing it.
I get anywhere from 2 to 6 disconnections a day now, and it is painfully slow. Like dialup speed
Am now looking to switch ISPs, after having been with em since freeserve days.
