Following a nearly 1 month without Broadband I finally got a connection yesterday on my laptop running Windows 2000. I am now setting up for use on my main PC running Windows XP.
Due to (I think!) some of the changes made to my system during calls to customer services initially I could not get a connection to the Livebox. After reinstalling TCP and deleting Winsock and a reboot have now made a connection - also fiddled with the LAN properties!
During the time I was having problems I made changes to the LAN connection property pages - unfortunately I did not make a note of original settings Of course now I am wondering what options should be set!
Below is listed my current settings - hopefully someone will point me in the right direction to get the best for my system
