It's a long story but I try to keep it short.
I am on package 27.99 for 0.5 Meg broadband.
- On October 2005 Wanadoo sent me an email that the will increase my speed free of charge soon
- On December 2005 I contacted them and they said they have to charge me, I accepted to pay the £ 20 charge but they said there is an order outstanding on my account and they can not do anything until that is completed.
- Ever since I contacted Orange team every month and each time they were saying the problem will be escalated and will be resolved soon.
- On December 2006 Orange accepted to pay me £90 for charging me for a speed they are not able to provide me and 3 month free broadband and they promised to resolve the issue within this period
- 3 Months later , still they were not able to change my speed. the escalation team said the only way to resolve this is to go for a different package , for example by going to one of their broadband or Mobile and Broadband packages and that's what I did. On 1st of April 07 I went for an Orange 18 month contract which offers me up to 8 meg broadband by paying £5 per month and that's when the problems appeared.
- I was told I have to wait until my billing date but when I called to get the broadband , I was told I am being transferred to the LLU and I can not do ant thing until this is completed and they said its due on 23-4-07.
- Since 24-7-07 my connection to the internet is lost. initially I had both lamps of my modem Steadily ON and now Its flashing. I contacted orange technical support more than 20 times, the usual thing as you are aware ... they said according to them everything is fine and it took me long time before they accepted to do a line check, and every time they did the line check they realised there is a problem and promissed to fix it within 5 working days.
- On the other hand I'm not able to request the new package yet and every time I talk to Customer Care Team they say the escalation team is working on it, sometimes they say there is something outstanding , On 9-5-07 I was told my broadband account information does not match with my mobile account !!! please wait another 5 working days for the third time within the last five days.
So I have ended up with No broadband , a blocked account and charges of £27.99 which I have to call them and ask for refund every month !!!

Wow how crafty is that and lock you in for another 18 months if they cant give you the speed you was promised then they can't on whatever package you change to what a conning load of tw**s i would put everything in a letter to ofcom and the like.

Actually before I accept the contract I made the manager agree to put a comment in my notes that they will have to cancel my contrant if they can not provide me with a speed more than 4.5 meg which which my line can support. I just was hoping Orange can resolve !
