I recently received my livebox,with much enthusiasm and anticipation at this techno marvel,and followed the instructions to the letter?Before installing the livebox,on screen instruction to disable both firewall&anti virus programs.As instructed disabled the firewall,but then i unistalled my anti virus----panda software,titanium 2006,no probs up till now,everything set up nicely then i enabled the firewall,no problem,then i tried to reinstall my anti virus and the headache begins.I keep getting the header message problem with setup exe.When i attempt to reinstall thesoftware it. ask me to remove it from the program page via the control panel.Icannot remove the program for some reason,hopefully there is a techno wizard out there who can point out the error of my ways.Ive temporarily installed avg while i sort the problem out.Gemini [/i][/b]
Sounds like there's some remnant of Panda still on your system. Could be a file but more likely to be a registry key. Try contacting Panda, they've probably come accross this sort of problem before and should be able to help you reinstall.
Aye, Wanadoo themselves aren't at fault here as such, sounds like the uninstall of Panda went wrong..
you only needed to disable the program to as far as i know, not uninstall it by the way.. easy mistake to make.
I'm gonna hazard a ballpark guess here, and say the AV installation got corrupted/fouled. If you can't uninstall it, you'll probably need to manually batter it about a bit..
I would defenatly recomend the Speak to Panda line tho.. they should be ok to sort you
