Hi, I am trying to change a setting on my Livebox and am typing 192.168.etc into my address bar, it either wont connect or it does connect but I cannot do anything when connected to the configuration page - bar at the bottom keeps saying "Waiting for http@//192.168.etc/welcome.html" for ever ..... what is going on???? I have had enough of the whole Livebox saga and am looking to swithc but in the meamtime I need to do something.
Any ideas??
Thanks v much
When I first attempted to connect my Livebox I suffered similar problems - 192.168.1.1 would start to load page and then most often just stop loading with partial display showing. This under Windows XP and Windows 2000.
In my case this was definately my fault - my PC is a dual boot XP/Win2000 machine - the PC has been overclocked for a number of years. I had forgotten about this fact when trying to connect to my network card. When I reset my BIOS to reflect the true speed of the CPU problem solved.
Assuming that you are trying to connect to your Livebox by ethernet cable it might be worth checking your speed settings in the bios and any other settings that may effect network. I also hope that unlike my case you actually get a connection to the net when you correct your Livebox issues
