I signed up for Orange broadband free with an Orange mobile.
It didn't work very well and I quickly got fed up with the customer support (or lack of).
I cancelled my contract on 1st March and was told it would take take 10 working days to go through. After that time I tried to sign up for a new ISP and it said I had a tag on the line. I phoned Orange and was told there was a fault with BT and I would have to wait another 10 working days.
This happened again so I wrote in to complain, I was offered £10 as a goodwill gesture and assured my line would be clear by 13th April.
The 13th deadline came and went and the tag was still on my line.
I decided to complain again and following the Orange code of practise sunbmitted a complaint via ISPA. Then I got a reply about my converged contract and Orange mobile not being a member of the ISPA. So it appears that the advice orage give their customers is false.
Annoyingly Orange won't admit that we have reached deadlock so I will have to wait 3 months from my 1st letter until they HAVE to give me a reference so I can go to CISAS. Has anyone manged to get this far? No-one I speak to seems to have any knowledge of how to escalate a complaint.

I've heard of problems getting broadband removed before so it's possible, just not common. (even BT themselves having trouble removing a connection)
There's also another number you can try but I don't know exactly how much they can help, they should be able to at least confirm what's happening. (Maybe only to a degree with LLU) Most of the time it's for actual problems when say broadband has been removed but the tag's still there.
