i've had Orange for about 5 weeks now and up till last week had flawless fast internet access.
however, since a few days ago surfing the internet has become abysmal. everytime i launch open a browser or change website i get this long pause that can last from several seconds to minutes....then the website will either suddenly load or partially load with the loading bar paused.
i've tried a speed check and also used the connection for online gaming on my 360 and everything works ok....so its nothing to do with the upload/download rate.
i've also tried manually setting the DNS addresses to the the settings Orange recommends...still no solution.
has anyone else had these problems or know a workaround? i'm in scotland btw.

Wish I could help! I'm having the same problems.
It seems ever since Orange and PC World had this offer of a free laptop, the Broadband speeds have halted somewhat. It's as if a request for a webpage hits a bottle neck with thousands of other requests trying to get through.
Orange....Worst ISP in the World! Wish I could cancel, but I'm only half way through an 18 month contract and they refuse to wave the penalty fee, even though I've been with Freeserve, Wanadoo and Orange for over 10 years! Enough is enough.
Wait until you have a PPP server problem......you'll be tearing your hair out when you call the 'support' line!
