We have 2 desktop PC's running wired connections via an ethernet hub plus one laptiop running wireless.
The wireless connection sometimes works fine for ages and other times is a real pain. The wireless adaptor software shows good signal strenght and link quality even when a connection can't be made.
More recently we've been suffering intermittent connection problems on the wired PC's.
This morning when unable to connect to the web from one of the wired PC's I tried connecting to the Livebox config pages using http://configuration.adsl and could'nt even get that to connect.
At the time the @, telephone and wireless lights were on solid on the Livebox.
Can anyone suggest the best way to get a reliable setup? Is our Livebox faulty? How would I convince Orange of this? I've not even tried calling Orange Support as yet having seen comments on here about how helpful they aren't.

Do you really need hub? There are 2 ports on Livebox, yellow and red.
TO TEST NETWORK CONNECTION:
(Start - All Programs - Accessories)
Open Command Prompt
Ping 192.168.1.1 -t
Control C to stop
For info purposes this command does a continuous loopback ping to the router. Without the -t it only does it 4 times. Its a means of quickly checking connectivity between PC and router.
Hub also has printer attached and a wired connection for the laptop was in use prior to going wireless and at least means we can get the laptop on our local network when it won't connect to the Livebox
Will try the loopback ping next time the problem occurs.
