I've been assisting several of my customers who have had many of the issues with Orange broadband reported by others on these forums since the recent spate of LLU upgrades.
In each case they have ended up with the following problem:
USB Speedtouch 330 Modem syncs up OK and both lights are solid green, they can log on OK but cannot access many websites and in some cases (eg hotmail) they cannot send/receive emails from a local client using pop3 and smtp.
The cause of this is incorrect network adapter Maximum Transmission Unit or MTU setting.
By default this is set to 1500 and it would seem that this is too big for the newly installed LLU equipment.
Following instructions here:

http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/twe...ak2.htm and downloading Dr TCP I have used an MTU setting of 1492 and it has resolved the above issue every time.
(please note for the speedtouch 330 USB you need to use the Dial Up (RAS) MTU box, not the adapter MTU box).
My thanks to kitz.co.uk (hope you don't mind the link) who set me on the right track.
There are other methods of adjusting the MTU but they involve editing the registry and I'm not going into that here.
Orange support have given us the runaround, resetting all IE settings to default, deleting temp inet files and cookies, reinstalling the modem etc etc all to no avail, but changing the MTU did fix it. So come on missyx87 this is your chance to make a name for yourself - feed this info back to your higher up techies so they can check it out and then get it to the CS agents, so they can actually help customers resolve issues.
