it's now 25'th almost 2 weeks after i reported the fault and still nothing has been done and i'm still offline
Heres what i've done so far :-
called every day for the last 12 days - spoke to almost 35 different people in India, Bangladesh and god knows where else......and what i have i managed to extract?......."your line is under escalation with our CAD team - we need more time to investigate the fault call back in 24 hours"
CALL BACK IN 34 HOURS!!?!?!?! IT'S BEEN 2 F***ING WEEKS NOW ARE YOU PEOPLE ABSOLUTELY RETARDED OR DO THEY ACTUALLY PAY YOU TO DO F***K ALL.
SOMETHING I'VE DISCOVERED IS THAT Orange AQUIRE A SUDDEN AND ABSOLUTE DISREGARD FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS THE MINUTE THE FIRST PAYMENT IS TAKEN AND THE CONTRACT IS SIGNED.
SO, I'M STILL OFFLINE ON BORADBAND AND NOW I'M USING DIALUP - THE FUTURE IS NOT BRIGHT AND IT IS ALMOST CERTAINLY NOT Orange.

Sounds like a PPP error. You're probably getting error 0721 or 0718?
Generally it's a fault/network problem that needs to get fixed through line testing.
it is exactly error 0721 - why cant the tech support guys tell me that and why cant they tell me it's a PPP error and that it needs to get fixed through the Network?
the indian helpdesk are less than useless i'm sorry to say.
so anyone got any ideas why i'm dissconneced and/or how long i'm likely to be offline.....so far it's 2 weeks tommorw i've been offline

Depends how experienced they are. I did say it's generally a fault/network issue, there are times when it's not so there's a few tests and things that need to be gone through first.

I don't know the specifics, its to do with the connection through to the login server. Next time you get through ask if there's an open fault and what status/previous notes say on it. Should be able to give a general idea of what's going on.
